New Jersey’s Revolutionary Significance

The State of New Jersey was very important during the Revolutionary War – serving as a center point for the thirteen colonies, sitting between New York and Philadelphia. Due to its location more battles were fought in New Jersey than in any other of the colonies.

The turning point of the Revolutionary War was the Battle of Trenton – which led General George Washington to his next victory the Battle of Princeton. Following this Washington and his troops spent the winter in Morristown.

Nothing speaks to the Heart and History of America, then visiting “The Ten Crucial Days” grounds.

We’re planning to explore the Princeton, Monmouth and hopefully Morristown Battlefields of the Revolutionary War.  Learn about the contributions of their heroes and of other significant events and locations that helped win the American War for Independence. Lastly, we’re planning a day to visit the historic cities of Lambertville and New Hope, for antiquing and other activities.  This day will include a scenic drive up the Delaware River and then back through several covered bridges in Bucks County, PA. You can be assured that all of the roads we utilize will be carefully tested to be sure that if is safe and secure for our vehicles.  For this reason, we will unfortunately not be able to visit Philadelphia or Trenton.  For those that have extra time, there is plenty of Revolutionary War History worth exploring just across the river in Philadelphia, as well as in Trenton.
